ARE YOU ARMY STRONG?
The Cold War era Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) is out. It has been replaced by the Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT). The reasons are clear, for the last 20 years, our Military has been engaged in world conflicts unlike any it has ever experienced. The six-event ACFT was developed to better predict a Soldier’s readiness for the demands of our modern-day battlefield. Each event was designed to mimic a movement commonly found in combat. The new ACFT was designed to increase the physical readiness of our Soldiers for the combat physicality demanded of them by this modern battlefield.
Fire Team Whiskey is inviting all current Army Soldiers and Army Veterans to participate in our annual ARMY STRONG 30 Day Fitness Challenge! Challengers receive 30 days of fitness videos, nutrition, group coaching, and the awesome technology of the Fire Team Whiskey Fitness App all for free! Each participant will compete each week to achieve fitness and health behavior goals for the chance to win prizes. And at the end, each qualifying participant earns an official Fire Team Whiskey Fit to Fight T-shirt and a chance to win one of several end-of-challenge prizes.
Here are the Challenge Requirements:
You must be a current or former U.S. Army Soldier who is willing to commit to a 30-day fitness and nutrition plan.
You must have a smartphone because all the programming is going to take place on the Fire Team Whiskey App.
You must be willing to provide before and after photographs and body composition information (measurements and weight) on the Fire Team Whiskey App.
You must be willing to do at least 4 bodyweight or weighted workouts a week for at least 30 minutes or less.
You must be willing to participate in the weekly group challenges on the group feed on the App.
You will be ready to start the 30 days on June 14, 2023 (the Army’s Birthday!)
We also have end-of-challenge individual prizes for the participants**. Nothing like a little friendly competition to get you working hard on those fitness and health goals! Here are the end-of-challenge prizes.
BIGGEST LOSER INDIVIDUAL: The individual that lost the most weight during the Challenge.
MOST MOTIVATING: The person that participated the most and encouraged the other participants along the way.
MOST TRANSFORMED: The person who had the biggest body composition transformation in their before and after pictures.

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED
As we know, the ACFT requires quite a bit of equipment. The ACFT prep 30 day course shows you how to best train at home or at a gym using equipment commonly found. You will most likely need to purchase a couple of pieces of equipment if you do not have a well-equipped gym or you are doing workouts at a home gym. Here is the equipment used in the FTW ACFT Prep Workout Videos that you can purchase if you are in need of additional equipment. We will have an alternative workout video available to you for each day of the 30-day challenge if you do not have the correct gym equipment available to you, or if your fitness level is at the beginner phase. The use of the equipment below is encouraged for intermediate to advanced fitness levels only.
